The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued new Regulations which are applicable to all cable & ACDC operators. Under these new regulations, the Broadcasters have to declare the rates of their channels which are available on their respective website. Effective 29th Dec, you will be able to choose and pay for your TV channels as per rates declared by the broadcaster.

The new regulatory framework notified by TRAI stipulates a network capacity fee with upper limit of Rs. One hundred and thirty (Rs. 130/-) plus taxes for the first one hundred (100) SD channels. Any customer who opts for more than 100 SD channels shall be required to pay additional network capacity fee for the 25 additional channels in each slab with at a maximum price of @Rs. 20 per slab. This regulation and rule is applicable for all cable and DTH operators.
